Ever thought of yourself as a bit of a ‘Mariah’? Or you just can’t help yourself singing along to a ‘Whitney’ in your car or in the shower? And us blokes, we can quietly fancy ourselves as singers when we watch X-Factor auditions thinking, ‘Even I could do better than that!’
Well, read on – this could be just what you need to realise your potential…
There is a choir for Ashford – a community choir made up of people like you. The aim of the choir is simple – have fun singing together and then taking our voices to various locations around Ashford and the surrounding area, so we can spread a little joy!
We Are More Than Just A Choir!
If so, take a look around the site and it should tell you everything you need to know and if it doesn’t, then email and ask. The email is below…
So, no audition needed and proven health benefits Yes, really! According to Medicine.net, ‘The research team found that choir singing once a week appeared to reduce stress over the first six months of the study.’ Wow!
We’d love to see you, so why not find a friend, come along and give it a try!
Hopefully see you at a rehearsal some time soon…
We Are A Singing Community!!!
Apologies for anyone that has visited and seen the blog a little behind – as always, it’s been a busy time, not least with our amazing tour to Germany! It was so good to be back there and particularly to visit and perform in our twin town of Bad Münstereifel. What a beautiful place and we couldn’t have received a warmer welcome, either from the town’s leaders or from the public! 131 of us went and over a hundred of those were singers. We also visited Aachen and flash-mobbed a boat cruise on the Rhine!!
Well, the new term has started and people are already getting their teeth into the new songs. We’re grateful to some of the other UK Sings! choirs for the loan of their arrangements! Mr Blue Sky is going to be our challenge of the term I think!
As always, if you’re looking at this and considering joining, then please do come along! We always say to people to come once and if you don’t like it, then there’s no need to come back, but it may just make the difference in your life that we hope it will!
